Deadline for charitable contribution submissions is Oct. 31st

Important deadline approaching regarding RPCV NENY’s annual charitable contributions:

Every December the group votes on our annual charitable donations. This is a reminder that written nominations for our annual donations will be due by October 31st. If you would like to nominate a charitable group, please review the submission requirements under our bylaws in section 5.6 Disbursement of Monies (see below) and send written nominations to the group at rpcvneny@gmail.com.

5.6 Disbursement of Monies

The process for determining annual outlays shall consist of a period to nominate organizations to receive support, a period for discussion, and then a vote at the following meeting. One month shall be allowed for discussion. Written nominations with a brief statement of purpose and how it meets the mission of RPCV-NENY shall be submitted by Oct. 31. Discussion will occur at the November meeting and a vote taken in December. In the event that this schedule cannot be met, a vote shall be taken at the earliest appropriate time.
