This Saturday, Sept. 29th is the Glenville Oktoberfest from Noon to 6 pm (actually goes to 9 for the beer garden).  Last year we had a booth and we are doing it again.  We plan to set up about 9 am and could use some help during the day if anyone is available.

The Oktoberfest is at Richmore Aviation in Glenville on Route 50 south of Glenridge Road and north of Freeman’s Bridge Road or about three miles north on Route 50 from Route 5 in Scotia.

We are having a joint booth with our “Friends of Akuffo Tom School“.  We are planning to sell some framed and unframed photos that has been given to the school to raise money and maybe some National Geographic Magazines bundled by year.  We also have some of the 2013 Peace Corps Calendars to sell and Peace Corps brochures to distribute.

The weather looks questionable.  Last year it was very cold and rainy and we closed early.  We have a pop up 10X10 canopy and a couple of folding tables.  If anyone has another table or two we could use them also.  We have some plastic to cover the sides if needed.  Ironically they are placing us near the VFW and Military Recruiting Booths.
